Careers
Work on Wren.
Wren is made for people living with bipolar, and it is made with them. The people we hire are the ones who know bipolar best: researchers who listen to people living with it, designers who design for it, therapists who specialise in it, and people who look after everyone who writes to us. If one of these roles is you, write to [email protected] and tell us a little about yourself.
Researcher
Full time · Remote
A researcher who lives close to bipolar, in their own life or their work. You would sit with people as they use Wren, read what the studies really say, and make sure what we build follows what people tell us rather than what we assume. You would have a real say in what we ship and what we leave out.
You might be right for this if
- You have run interviews, diary studies or clinical research with people living with a long-term condition
- You read the evidence carefully and say plainly where it stops
- Lived experience of bipolar is welcome, and never required to be shared

Designer
Full time · Remote
Design Wren for someone in the middle of an episode as well as for someone who is well. Every screen has to work on a low day, when two answers are all anyone can give, and on a high one, when too much feels possible at once. Our look is printed and warm, never clinical, and you would make it, from type to illustration.
You might be right for this if
- You have designed for people at their most tired, stressed or unwell, and it changed how you work
- You make things calm and beautiful rather than busy
- You would rather remove a feature than add one that asks too much

CBT therapist
Part time · Remote
A cognitive behavioural therapist who works with people living with bipolar. You would shape how Wren helps someone notice early signs, protect their sleep and plan for the days ahead, using approaches tested with bipolar rather than borrowed from elsewhere. Anything Wren suggests would pass through you first.
You might be right for this if
- You are accredited and have worked with people living with bipolar, not only depression or anxiety
- You know the evidence for psychological approaches in bipolar, and its limits
- You want the people you work with to understand themselves, not to depend on you

Generalist
Full time · Remote
The person who holds the rest together: support emails from people having a hard week, partnerships with clinics and charities, the next release, the office plants. You would pick up whatever matters most that day, and look after the people who write to us as if each one were the only one.
You might be right for this if
- You like a day with a dozen different things in it, and finish them
- You write kindly and clearly, especially to someone who is struggling
- You care about bipolar care, whether or not you have worked in it before
